"Louder, louder and louder" is the motto of this year's German-Israeli Literature Days, which will gather authors for a reading and debate on how to deal with populists and polarizations from September 4 to 8, 2019.
Since 2005, the Heinrich Böll Foundation and the Goethe Institute have been organizing the German-Israeli Literature Days in Tel Aviv and Berlin on an annual basis. The series of events promotes exchange between the two countries and allows writers to speak on pressing contemporary issues - through their work and with their views.
With, among others, Dov Alfon, Friedrich Ani, Maayan Ben Hagai, Sami Berdugo, Dilek Güngör, Mati Shemoelof, Tijan Sila. The festival will be opened on 4 September at the Deutsches Theater by Prof. Dr. Klaus-Dieter Lehmann, President of the Goethe-Institut and Dr. Ellen Ueberschär, Chairman of the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
Other venues include the Hackesche Höfe cinema and the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
